Norton's Family Treasures

Norton and his mum brought a special cloak, made of bird feathers. It was made for him, when he was born, because he was the eldest in his family. He also showed us his whale bone carved necklace. His father designed it. It is a taniwha.

Cilla showed us a beautiful woven kete (basket). Her mum, (Norton's grandma) made it. It was one of her first baskets she ever made. It reminds Cilla of her mum.
