Friday is Baking Day

Thanks to Ros and Louise, Friday is baking day. In small groups the children in Room 1 and 3 get to go to the staffroom and bake goodies. Usually they treat the children bake will start with the letter and/or the blend we are focusing on for the week.
So far they have made treats (fudge), cupcakes and play dough. The purpose of this activity is to; increase the children’s vocabulary (oral language/maths), learn measuring skills, following instructions (reading), and it gives us something to write about the following Monday. It is also lots of FUN!!!! Learning should be FUN!!!!
